SUSQUE-VIEW HOME COVID-19 UPDATE
Lock Haven, Pennsylvania:
Susque-View Home continues to follow the CDC and Department of Health testing frequency guidelines. Based on Clinton County’s positivity rate, residents continue to get tested weekly and staff members are tested twice per week. While not all the results from the testing last week have been received, two more staff members and two more residents, all asymptomatic, have tested positive for COVID-19. In addition, earlier in the week a staff member who was off with COVID like symptoms also had a positive test result. That brings our total cases to date to 4 residents and 15 staff members. Several of the staff members who are past their quarantine period and are asymptomatic have returned to work. The positive residents have been moved to a ‘red zone’ and the nursing unit they’ve come from will be a ‘yellow zone’ for at least 14 days.
Susque-View’s Administrator, Jamie Aurand said, “We know it’s been a very difficult time for our staff, residents and their families. It’s especially more difficult to be away from loved ones during the holidays. We appreciate everyone’s patience as we strive to work through this pandemic as safely as possible. I’m pleased to announce that we have a tentative date of January 8 to begin administering the much anticipated vaccine to staff and residents.”
