COVID-19 Update: Clinton Up 38; Centre, Up 105; Lyco Up 165
HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Health COVID Data Dashboard Wednesday reported that as of 12:00 a.m., Dec.16, statewide there were 10,049 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 519,369.
The state reported an additional 278 deaths attributed to the coronavirus, the state total 13,168. The one-day death total is the highest recorded so far in Pennsylvania, the previous high count of 270 posted on Tuesday.
Local counties’ numbers: Clinton County, up 38 to 1,403; Centre County, up 105 to 7,919; Lycoming up 165 to 4,273. Other area counties include Cameron, 98 (up 28); Clearfield, 3,039; Potter, 448; and Union, 2,279.
Thus far 6,636 Clinton County residents have tested negative for COVID-19, an increase of 31 from Tuesday.
