COVID-19 Update: Statewide Surge Continues; Clinton Up 19; Centre, Up 80; Lyco Up 123

HARRISBURG, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Health COVID Data Dashboard Saturday reported that as of 12:00 a.m., Dec.12, statewide there were 11,084 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 481,118.

The state reported an additional 201 deaths attributed to the coronavirus, the state total 12,436. The 201 figure is the fourth highest for deaths in a day, exceeded only by the previous three days.

Local counties’ numbers: Clinton County, up 19 to 1,222; Centre County, up 80 to 7,536; Lycoming up 123 to 3,655. Other area counties include Cameron, 59; Clearfield, 2,728; Potter, 399; and Union, 2,132.

Thus far 6,506 Clinton County residents have tested negative for COVID-19, an increase of 29 from Friday.
