As directed by Governor Wolf, athletics season and all co-curricular activities will be suspended until January 4, 2021.  More information will be provided to teams when available.

Beginning on January 11, 2021, KCSD will attempt to move to a new hybrid instructional model that combines in-person learning and remote learning each week.  Parents may choose to keep their children full remote or send their children to school on the designated cohort days.  As a starting point, students will be assigned to a cohort alphabetically by last name A-L for Cohort 1 and M-Z for Cohort 2.  There may be some exceptions made at the discretion of the principal and official cohort assignments will be communicated to you by Wednesday, December 16, 2020.  Please review the attached information for additional details.  KCSD Virtual Academy students will continue with their learning activities as planned.

Our administrative team will continue to work with families to support you during this difficult time, please contact your child’s principal, counselor or teachers if you need anything. Please see the attached information on Free Meals that is attached to this letter.

While we are all impacted by this pandemic in various ways, I would like to recognize the medical professionals and first responders as they tirelessly provide care to those in need.  Thank you for your enduring service to our community.

Dr. Jacquelyn Martin

Superintendent
