Sale of Lock Haven’s Former City Garage Site Set for Monday
LOCK HAVEN – Lock Haven City Council Monday night is expected to give its approval to the sale of the city’s former garage site at 2 E. Walnut Street. The Monday council agenda lists the purchaser as VASAS, Inc., the sale price $200,000.
VASAS is the McElhattan-based business which several months ago opened the Lucky 7 Travel Plaza, also situated on E. Walnut Street, just off the Walnut Street exit of Paul Mack Boulevard.
According to the sales agreement, VASAS is looking at constructing a fast food or “high quality” restaurant at the old city garage site. As announced earlier this year, the plans are for a 3-year timeline for development including design, permitting and breaking ground once the property is sold to VASAS, Inc. Specific plans for the 2-acre site have not been announced.
VASAS also owns the Bald Eagle Truck Stop in McElhattan.
