Lock Haven’s E. Church Street Beautification: One Brick at a Time
LOCK HAVEN – The City’s most recent “streetscape project” is well underway. Work began in August on the million dollar improvement project. The Church Street improvement will stretch from Bellefonte Avenue to Grove Street. The work is to continue into December.
Overall work on the project includes excavation, new cement concrete sidewalk, brick sidewalk, curbing, inlet and pipe replacement, paving, and miscellaneous items. The improvements will be similar to those done in previous years on E. Main Street, Bellefonte Avenue and E. Water Street.
M and B Services, LLC of Clarion is the contractor, based on a low bid of $1,028.071. The EADS Group, the design engineer, is also the construction inspector, the amount $103,065. The bulk of the project is PennDOT funded, $1 million in a PennDOT grant, plus $131,136 in Liquid Fuels funding.
