Lock Haven’s Levee Work Extended
LOCK HAVEN – City Hall announced Friday that the seal-coating work on the city’s Clinger Walkway will be extended into next week.
The announcement came Friday from the city’s public works department:
Due to unforeseen circumstances the Levee Seal-coating Project will extend into next week. So far, the contractor has worked well with the current pedestrian traffic and pedestrians are asked again to be cautious through an active work zone. Signs and barricades will again be placed on the access ramps and parking areas notifying pedestrians that the Levee walkway will be closed in that area for maintenance. The City appreciates everyone’s cooperation and patience while we continue to improve our community.
The city had awarded a bid to perform repairs and sealcoat the walking path on the levee to M&M Asphalt of Williamsport in March. With the restrictions due to COVID-19 the project had been pushed back until after Labor Day.
