The Clark McLane Band Plays Special Saturday Concert on Lock Haven’s Main Street Stage

LOCK HAVEN – The Lock Haven Summer Concert Series continues this Saturday, Aug. 1, with the “Electrified Folk” Clark McLane Band playing the Main & Grove Street Stage from 6 to 80 p.m.

The Clark McLane Band came to life in 2017 with Tom Rainey on drums, Chris Stanonis on Bass, Shawn Carr on Lead, and Clark McLane on lead vocals, guitar, and harmonica. The group debuted its first album “Commonfolk” last summer.

While the band is most commonly classified as Americana, the band members “collectively abhor defining genres”, and consider their sound “electric folk”. All of the songs on their 12-track album were written by McLane on an acoustic guitar, and then the other members of the group helped refine the tunes with their own unique approach to song writing.

For more information about the Clark McLane Band, visit www.facebook.com/clarkmclaneband, and the City says be sure to come out to the Pedestrian Walkway this Saturday to hear the original songs from their album.

The public is invited to attend this free summer concert. This year, the concerts traditionally held at Triangle Park, have been moved to Main and Grove Streets, to allow outdoor diners and shoppers the opportunity to enjoy music on Main Street, and provide ample space for residents to practice social distancing. Due to restrictions from the Green Phase, there will be no rain location for the concert.

While the committee is excited to offer these free concerts this summer, residents should remain vigilant to the threat of COVID-19 which has claimed the lives of more than 150,000 Americans and more than 7,000 Pennsylvanians including five in Clinton County. In order to successfully continue the summer concert series, residents and guests are to follow CDC and DOH guidelines in order to reduce the risk of exposure to COVID-19 including social distancing between non-household members while attending the concert, wearing masks, and sanitizing hands frequently. To that end, the city will provide hand-washing stations at each of the summer concerts. Anyone who is experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or is included in a higher risk population are encouraged to keep their health and the health of their fellow residents as their primary interest and not attend.
