Heather Olson & The Silver Eagle Band Comes to Lock Haven

LOCK HAVEN – The Lock Haven Summer Concert Series this Friday, July 24 welcomes Heather Olson & the Silver Eagle Band, playing classic country hits on the Main Street Stage. The performance will begin at 6 p.m.

Heather Olson travels all over the state of Pennsylvania, performing her favorite songs from classic to modern day country. She performs the National Anthem at various sporting events and local events throughout Central Pennsylvania. Six years ago, she began to pay tribute to the late Patsy Cline by dressing like the legend and performing her soulful ballads. Heather desired to bring a live music feel to her tribute show, so she joined the Silver Eagle Band in the fall of 2017.

The Silver Eagle Band members are Gary Turner (drums), Mike Russell (lead guitar), Phil Ponish (bass guitar), and Bob McCloskey (rhythm guitar). Their style of music ranges from country, classic rock, oldies, and southern rock. The combination of Heather’s love for country music and the Silver Eagle Band’s variety of music is sure to thrill audiences of all ages.

The public is invited to attend this free summer concert. This year, the concerts traditionally held at Triangle Park, have been moved to Main and Grove Streets, to allow outdoor diners and shoppers the opportunity to enjoy music on Main Street, and provide ample space for residents to practice social distancing. Due to restrictions from the Green Phase, there will be no rain location for the concert.

While the committee is excited to offer these free concerts this summer, residents should remain vigilant to the threat of COVID-19 which has claimed the lives of more than 130,000 Americans and more than 7,000 Pennsylvanians including five in Clinton County. In order to successfully continue the summer concert series, residents and guests are to follow CDC and DOH guidelines in order to reduce the risk of exposure to COVID-19 including social distancing between non-household members while attending the concert, wearing masks, and sanitizing hands frequently. To that end, the city will provide hand-washing stations at each of the summer concerts. Anyone who is experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or is included in a higher risk population are encouraged to keep their health and the health of their fellow residents as their primary interest and not attend.
