Clinton Country Club Reopens Friday

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – In line with a recent state directive, the Clinton Country Club will be reopening for the season on Friday, May 1. New pro Chad Anthony said Wednesday that golf course guidelines will be in place and Clinton will be opening Friday at 8:30 a.m., weather permitting. Prospective golfers may call the pro shop for a tee time.

Anthony will begin his first year as Clinton’s pro. Earlier this year he was named the first-ever women’s golf coach at Lock Haven University. The LHU team will have its first season effective with the fall semester. Anthony had been the women’s coach at Milton High School for the last four years.

Gov. Tom Wolf had announced on Monday that golf courses across the state could reopen as of this Friday. His announcement said starting Friday, May 1, golf courses, marinas, guided fishing trips and privately owned campgrounds may reopen statewide and “are required to follow updated life-sustaining business guidance and FAQ issued by the Wolf Administration to include specifics for how these outdoor recreational industries can resume activities while prioritizing public health and safety.”
