LHU to Hold “Virtual” Graduation in May
LOCK HAVEN – Lock Haven University announced on Friday that graduation for the Class of 2020 will be a virtual event, the result of the coronavirus which earlier this year forced the school to empty the campus and go to online learning for the duration of the spring semester.
The commencement plans were announced on the university’s facebook page:
Lock Haven University will hold a Virtual Graduation Celebration on Saturday, May 9 at 11 a.m. It is our intention to hold a formal commencement ceremony later in the year, but that event has not yet been scheduled. We will keep you informed as we continue to make these important decisions based on state guidelines around holding large events.
The virtual graduation celebration will be available to view on the homepage of LHU’s website at www.lockhaven.edu. A link will also be available on LHU’s Facebook page.
***SENIORS*** Please watch your email for more information about participating in this virtual event. We look forward to celebrating this important milestone and recognizing your achievements, both during our virtual ceremony and, eventually together, when we are able to reunite our Haven Family!
