County Fielding Requests for PPE

LOCK HAVEN – 10 Different Clinton County agencies have filed requests for personal protective equipment (PPE) for dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Bill Frantz, Emergency Management Coordinator for the county, Monday provided an update to the county commissioners on the work of his office during the national coronavirus siege. He said a variety of agencies across the county are requesting PPE for their use. He said agencies should go through his office to make their requests; a form will be provided them and when returned, forwarded to the proper agency. He said organizations with requests and/or questions should reach his office by phone: 570-893-4090; extension 3406.

Frantz later told therecord-online that so far 10 agencies are seeking the protective gear, ranging from the county coroner’s office, EMS, Lock Haven police, a mix of first-responders and also personal care homes. He said the gear is licensed by the Department of Health and some service-providers within the county already have the equipment. He said the PPE should be free-of-charge to first responders.

The emergency management coordinator voiced the state mantra to the public, “Stay home, stay safe, stay calm.”
