Lock Haven Announces New Procedures in Wake of Governor’s Declaration; Council Meeting Postponed
LOCK HAVEN – City Manager Greg Wilson announced Monday revisions in city operations, following Gov. Tom Wolf’s word of statewide restrictions. These include word that Monday night’s scheduled city council meeting is off.
The city manager circulated his announcement to city officials and the media Monday afternoon:
Due to the Governor’s declaration of a statewide shutdown, this evening’s City Council meeting will be postponed. The next possible date for City Council will be April 6, 2020 if the statewide shutdown is lifted. As information develops, I will continue to be in contact.
The Wastewater Treatment Plant, the police and fire services of the city will continue to operate as usual. A smaller staff of essential public works employees will be available each day for limited service.
City Hall and the Second Avenue garage will be closed to the public effective immediately and will remain closed until April 6, 2020 or until further information is provided.
Limited, essential city staff will be available via email and may, at times, have the opportunity to retrieve voicemails.
If you have an emergency, call 9-1-1. For non-emergency services including water and sewer leaks, please contact 570-748-2936.
