Doo-Wop Group Entertains at LHU

LOCK HAVEN – State College-based Rama-Lama brought its doo-wop music to Lock Haven University’s Sloan Building Thursday night, entertaining a mix of enthusiastic university students and townspeople at the free concert.

Their program featured songs and history on the American art form which is labeled doo-wop. The Rama-Lama show featured audience sing-a-longs and a guest appearance from LHU music instructor Michael Connor. The six-member group included Luke Lorenz, a 1999 LHU graduate.

The acapella group’s repertoire included The Lion Sleeps Tonight, Will You Love Me Tomorrow and Barbara Ann.
