River Lot Repair Meeting Set
LOCKPORT – The City of Lock Haven and Woodward Township have announced a meeting for township river lot owners for Thursday, Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. at the Dunnstown Fire Hall.
The public session has been set up for river lot owners who may want to make improvements along their Susquehanna River lots while the water level is low as repairs are carried out to the Tidlow Dam off Grant Street in Lock Haven.
A Monday announcement from the city said permits for such work are required and associate agencies will review a simplified permit process at the Thursday meeting. Any interested property owners are encouraged to attend.
Repairs to the dam began last month and are proceding on schedule, per word from the contractor, Greenland Construction of Clearfield. The contractor expects the project to be completed around the end of October. The city is paying the $393,000 contract.
