Tidlow Dam Repairs Commencing

LOCK HAVEN – A Clearfield contractor has started the process to repair Lock Haven’s Tidlow Dam. A crew from Greenland Construction was on site on the Lockport side of the Susquehanna on Tuesday, starting work on a coffer dam.

Boat owners were alerted late last week to remove their boats and docks before this Thursday. As of Tuesday of this week, only a few boats were still docked on the Woodward Township side.

City council earlier this month awarded the repair contract to Greenland Construction of Clearfield in the amount of $393,000.

City officials said there are a few concrete slabs in the dam that need to be replaced.
