After Hours Satellite Expands Business
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – After Hours Satellite owner Greg Mayes found just the right size building for his first storefront set-up: the small brick structure at the intersection of the Eagle Valley (Route 150) and Lusk Run Roads is the perfect fit for Mayes’ new cell phone and tablet repair business.
Mayes has run his satellite sales and repair operation since 1998, but now has a permanent business home near Central Mountain High School. Citing a consumer demand for repairs, he recently converted what was long ago a gas station into Clinton County’s first cell phone and tablet repair shop.
Mayes said his repairs and replacements include items from screens to batteries to charging parts and cameras. Brand names serviced include Apple, Samsung and LG. He said with the cost of a new phone running as much as $1,000 up to $2,000, he may be able to help a customer short of buying a new phone. He noted he recently took advanced schooling in such repairs.
He stressed the local nature of his business, stating “Since we’re local we’re more competitive with our pricing for repairs and we answer our phone when it rings, not putting you on hold for an endless menu.”
After Hours Satellite continues it satellite installation business, the owner noting his firm can offer the same promotions and savings prospective customers may see on television from Dish and DirectTV. He also provides service for RV and camper needs at the nearby Bill’s Happy Campers of Mill Hall. His company also continues to offer high speed internet service through Century Link in the Mill Hall – Beech Creek area. With the addition of phone and table repairs, Mayes said, the business has become an “all-in-one satellite entertainment center.”
The office is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m.to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The address is 2765 Eagle Valley Road.
