Early Jersey Shore Lead Outlasts Lady ‘Cats
JERSEY SHORE – In their first PHAC meeting of the season, the Lady Bulldogs put up 5 runs in the bottom of the second inning and held on to outlast Central Mountain, 5-4.
The Lady Wildcats responded with 2 runs in the third inning, 1 in the fourth and another solo run in the seventh.
Caitlin Watson had a single and double and and RBI for the Lady ‘Cats with Morgan Wetzel, 1 hit and 2 RBI. Bailee Renninger had 1 hit and an RBI with Kylie Wagner adding a hit to the cause.
Madi Kneep worked the circle for the first 5 innings, yielding 8 hits and 2 walks. Alyssa Fisher worked the final 3 outs for CM giving up 1 hit and 1 base on balls.
The loss takes Central Mountain to 2-4 overall, 1-2 in conference play.
The Lady Wildcats are scheduled to travel to Hollidaysburg on Monday, April 8, 2019.
