Lady ‘Cats Hand 13-3 Loss to Bellefonte

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – Central Mountain hosted backyard rival, Bellefonte on Friday night and used a steady effort to earn 13-3 ten run rule win over the Lady Red Raiders.

The Lady Wildcats put up a lone run in the first inning to start things off then added 4 runs each in the bottom of the second and fourth innings followed by another run in the bottom of the fifth inning then 3 more in the bottom of the sixth to end the game.

It was Madi Knepp and Morgan Wetzel leading the way in the batters box with Knepp banging out a double and a home run while Wetzel had a base hit and a home run. Hope Weber, Kylie Wagner, Cassidy Brush, Autumn Dershem and Bailee Renninger also had hits for Central Mountain.

Knepp pitched five innings for Central Mountain allowing 3 hits, striking out 2 Bellefonte batters. Jenni Skow took over to start the sixth inning, yielding 1 hit.

The win takes the Lady Wildcats to 2-1 on the season.

Central Mountain will next travel to Mifflin County on Monday, April 1, 2019.
