Slurpee Coming to Lock Haven
LOCK HAVEN – A Clinton County company is converting the APlus convenience store on top of the Bellefonte Avenue hill in Lock Haven into a 7-Eleven.
A crew from JEB Environmental Tech., Inc from Mill Hall has been on site this week, carrying out the conversion. The switch-over should be completed by weekend. A JEB spokesman said the change-over is one of ten the company has carried out since 7-11 purchased a number of convenience stores from the previous owner, Sunoco.
7-Eleven had announced last month the acquisition of 1,030 Sunoco stores; these included APlus, Ladson Grill, Tigermarket, Stripes and Laredo Taco. The purchased stores are located in 17 states. Seven & I Holdings Co., Ltd., the parent company of 7-Eleven, Inc., operates more than 65,000 stores in 18 countries.
7-Eleven is headquartered in Irving, Texas and is known for brands such as Slurpee and Big Gulp.
