Welcome Home Luna
Do you believe in miracles? On January 23, Luna, the Friese family’s German Shepherd was found almost 40 miles from where she went missing on Saturday, January 19, from her home in West Renovo.
There was not a single sighting of this girl until last Wednesday in Moshannon, PA at the Red Moshannon Bridge where John Nastase and his family from the Snow Shoe area were able to get her safely in his vehicle (after an hour of trying).
Luna was reunited with her family later that night. The family said they cannot thank everyone enough for their kindness and efforts to help bring their pup home.
This is an amazing story of survival in subzero temps over a foot of snow and ice. Luna also has epilepsy and didn’t have her medication. Volunteers assume she must have followed the Susquehanna River to Moshannon.
