Police Standoff Reported Over at Waterville

WATERVILLE – WBRE-TV is reporting a police standoff behind the Waterville Hotel is over. The station reported the individual had been shot and killed by police. The standoff had begun around 8 a.m. and ended in the early afternoon.

Additional information was not immediately available. Authorities were reported saying earlier information regarding a hostage situation was incorrect.

The hotel is located along Route 44 near where Little Pine Creek empties into Pine Creek. Multiple state troopers from Montoursville and Lamar had responded Monday morning.
