CM Volleyball Observes Senior Night, Falls to Tyrone 3-0

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – It was a bitter sweet night at the Central Mountain gym as the Lady Wildcat volleyball team closed out their 2018 season with a 0-3 loss to Tyrone and said farewell to their senior squad members.

In the first game, Tyrone held a narrow lead with Central Mountain keeping pace until late in the game when Tyrone would inch forward and secure the 25-18 win. In the second game, it was a more of the same, though this time, the Lady ‘Cats would take the lead from time to time in the middle of the game, with Tyrone once more finding a way to increase their margin late for an identical 25-18 win.

In the third game, Tyrone increased the pressure and jumped out in from and kept up that pressure to close out the night and the Lady Wildcat season 25-12 and the 3-0 win.

Leading the way for the Lady Wildcats was Jenni Skow had 5 kills and 11 digs, Loni Duck with 3 kills, 2 blocks and 6 digs. Destiny Carter had 4 kills while McKenzi Hanna had 3 kills. Skylar Falls had a pair of digs on the night. Abby Brinker picked up 6 assists and 3 digs with Taylor Kinley had 9 assists and 2 digs.

The lady Wildcats honored four seniors and their families before the game recognizing the contributions of Destiny Carter, Skylar Falls, Madison Knepp and Jenni Skow.
