Veterans to Be Honored at LHU Football Game

LOCK HAVEN- Clinton County Veterans’ Affairs and Lock Haven University invite the public to honor area Veterans this Veterans’ Day. On Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. area Veterans will be honored during the Lock Haven University football game at Hubert Jack Stadium. During the pregame activities, Team RWB and the Lock Haven University ROTC program participants will present the colors on the football field during the National Anthem. Also, all Veterans in attendance will be recognized on the field by era during halftime.
In addition to the football festivities, a ceremony will be held at the Durrwachter Alumni Conference Center on the campus of Lock Haven University on Monday, November 11, 2013 at 11:00 a.m.
Master of Ceremonies will be LTC Nikolai L. Andresky, Professor of Military Science at Lock Haven University. Welcoming remarks will be given by Dr. Michael Fiorentino, Jr., President of Lock Haven University and guest speakers will include Clinton County Commissioner Pete Smeltz, LHU Faculty guest speaker Dr. David G. Bower II, and Student Veteran guest speaker Sean MacMillen.
During the ceremony, several awards and special recognitions will also take place, including the awarding of the Ryan Graham Memorial Scholarship and the Dallas Braden Leadership Scholarship.
