Flaming Foliage Future Queen and Escort Candidates Announced

RENOVO – It’s that time of year again, time to vote for your favorite youngster for the Flaming Foliage Future Queen and Escort contest.

This year, five girls and three boys have registered and are looking to get your votes. The contestants for this year’s contest include: Madalynn Kay Winkelman, 3 years old, daughter of Joy and Michael Winkelman of Renovo, PA, Josie Brooks, 3 years old, daughter of Troy Brooks and Kristy Serafini-Brooks of Renovo, PA, Audrielle Shearer, 3 years old, daughter of Bryan and Kara Shearer of Renovo, PA, Addalynn Jo Parker, 4 years old, daughter of Samantha and Mitchell Parker of Beech Creek, PA, Teagan Wertz, 4 years old, daughter of Mark and Heather Wertz of Lock Haven, PA, Tripp Lyle Ammerman, 3 years old, son of Jeremiah Ammerman of Mackeyville, PA, Mikah Mann, 5 years old, son of Kyle and Kasandra Mann of Renovo, PA, Jackson Heart Marr, 5 years old, son of Danielle and Chad Marr of Lock Haven, PA.

Voting boxes are out and located at Yesterday’s Restaurant, Lingle’s Neighborhood Market and Skoot’s Service Center in Renovo. Also Uncle Joe’s Woodshed and Sears Hometown Store in Lock Haven. The last day to vote is Sunday September 23, 2018.

Winners will be announced at the Flaming Foliage Follies on October 6, 2018 at 7 p.m.

The Future Queen and King along with all the contestants are then invited to take part in the Flaming Foliage Parade held on October 13. For more information please call 570-923-2411.

This year marks the 70th Pennsylvania State Flaming Foliage Festival which is an annual event that usually runs the second full weekend of October in Renovo. It is a time when many friends and family come back home to visit and enjoy the weekend. The event celebrates nature’s beautiful colors and views and includes arts and crafts, vendors, food, parade on Saturday, Queen’s coronation and more.
