Gov. Wolf Joins Mike Hanna Jr. for Campaign Ribbon-cutting

LOCK HAVEN – Gov. Tom Wolf handled the scissors Wednesday morning for a campaign office ribbon-cutting for state House candidate Mike Hanna Jr.

Hanna spent several years on Wolf’s Harrisburg office staff and the governor told an assemblage of Hanna supporters he “can’t wait” for Hanna to return to Harrisburg as the state House 76th district representative, stating “he’s going to be a great legislator.” Hanna Jr. is running to replace his father, Mike Hanna Sr. (D-Clinton/Centre), retiring at the end of his fourteenth term this year.

Wolf said both Hanna’s have the same strong ethical views and said Hanna Jr. “takes ethics rules seriously.” The younger Hanna acknowledged Wolf’s comments, cited his work with the governor the past three years and renewed his support for legislation denying legislators their paychecks if the state budget is not passed on time.

Both Hanna Sr. and Wolf noted the Clinton County role in the Fair District PA effort to enact legislation to do away with gerrymandering. Wolf thanked Clinton County Democratic Party chairman Rose Reeder and fellow Fair District supporters for their work towards “fair maps”
Hanna Jr. will be opposed in November by Republican Stephanie Borowicz.
