Lady Bucks Pound St. John Neuman, 12-0

WILLIAMSPORT – The Lady Bucks dished out 14 hits for a 12-0 victory over St. John Neumann in six innings. Nearly every Lady Buck on the roster had a hit. The Lady Bucks would get a run in the first as Myka Poorman singled to left field and scored on an error making it 1-0. Poorman was solid on the mound as she gave up just 2 hits while striking out 7 on just 78 pitches.

Finally in the fourth inning, the bats came to life for the Lady Bucks as Poorman led-off with a double. Scored on Emily Cross’s double. Tessa Cowfer would score Cross from a single. Sara Kepler would have a good night in the batters box as she smashed a triple to left centerfield for her first RBI. Kepler would score from Anna Cowfer’s single as Cowfer scored from Maria D’onofrio’s base hit. Lady Bucks increased the score to 7-0.

Bucktail would score two more runs in the fifth as Kayli Casper and Makenzi Brennan would single with two outs. Kepler would then double to right centerfield for two more RBI’s on the night. In the sixth inning, the Lady Bucks Megan Wagner and D’Onofrio drew walks. Bonnie Mills would single for an RBI as D’onofrio crossed the plate. Aaliyah McGowan would single as bases were loaded. Brennan would hit into a fielders chioce as Mills crossed the plate for the twelth run of the game.

Kepler was 2 for 3 and 3 RBI. Cross, Poorman and T. Cowfer was also 2 for 3.

The Lady Bucks (7-9) will celebrate Senior Day on Friday as they host Sugar Valley Rural Charter at 4:30 p.m.
