New Barn Under Construction in Wake of Mackeyville Barn Fire

MACKEYVILLE – Friday was cleanup and Saturday the start of new construction in the wake of a massive barn fire along the Mackeyville Road Thursday evening. The fire was at the Allgyer farm, formerly Willow Creek Farm. While cleanup continued Saturday, Amish friends and neighbors were hard at work erecting a new barn along Duck Run. There has been no word to this point as to the cause of the fire. There were no injuries in the blaze which brought firemen from several counties to battle the flames. Record photo – John Lipez
