Taste Supper Being Held April 25
RENOVO – The Annual Taste Supper will be held on April 25th from 4 to 7 PM at the Zion Lutheran Church on 11th Street in the Renovo Borough.
A selection of three dinners choices will be available as well as many sides to choose from. Patrons will pay from 25cents a scoop up to $1.00. A delicious Dessert Bar will also be available as well as toss salad and beverages.
The PA Wilds recently named the PA State Flaming Foliage as the event of the year. This award exemplifies the great work being done by the committee across the 12-county PA Wilds region.
This year the committee is spending extra time to make this year an extra special one for our community. The invitations of Queen Contestants, Craft Vendors and Bands and even Past Queens have already been mailed. Out of 69 past queens, the committee is aware of only 2 queens who are deceased. Continued efforts are being made to contact the rest. Anyone having names and addresses of the past queens please contact Maria Ransom at 923-2993.
More information on this year’s celebration will be announced in weeks to come. The second fundraiser will be selling Mr. Sticky’s at the Flaming Foliage Lot during the ATV Relay for Life Ride. Pre-order sheets will be available. This event is June 9; Mr. Sticky’s concession won’t be here. The committee will pick up the fresh buns and have them at the lot.
The committee asks for continued financial report for the annual festival weekend. A total of $30,000 is need with approximately $14,000 for the Parade.
