Buck Baseball Skid Continues

FARWELL – Sullivan County pitchers struck out 12 Bucktail Bucks for a 19-6 win in six innings on Friday. Bucktail pitchers John Francis, Paul Risley, Tanner Riggle, Luke Jones and Cameron Sockman combined for 10 strikeouts of their own. Only 6 of the 19 runs were earned for SC. What happened?  Bucktail’s defense committed 10 errors.

SC scored two runs in the first and the Bucks got one back as Bucktail lead-off hitter Gage Sutliff singled and scored on a groundout by Francis. SC would score in every inning. Francis would hit a double to left centerfield two scoring Richard Perry in the third making it 6-2 SC. Bucktail would score three runs in the fifth inning as Serafini doubled to score Sutliff. Francis and C. Sockman would each single for RBIs making it 12-5.

SC would have a big top of the sixth inning as they scored seven runs. Bucktail would add one more run as Perry would single for a RBI.

Francis would have the big bat for the Bucks as he went 2 for 3 and 2 RBI.
 
Bucktail lost its fourth in a row, now 3-4, and will play on Monday at St. John Neumann starting at 4:30 p.m.
