Wildcats Pick Up 3-2 Win over Shik
SUNBURY – Central Mountain tennis continues there battle with PHAC opponents collecting narrow victories. Twice this week they earned 3-2 wins over Selinsgrove and then matched that effort today over Shikellamy.
With the win the Wildcats move to 5-4 overall, 4-2 in the PHAC.
CM’s Matt Schubach took care of Shin’s Kyler Balliet, 6-0 , 6-1 at No. 1 singles while Raahi Chapla picked up the ‘Cats’ second win at No. 2 single by defeating the Braves’ Cameron Crowley , 6-2, 6-3. Thayne Hummel picked up Shikellamy’s first wi at No. 3 singles, defeating Central Mountain’s Tyler Cygan, 6-3, 6-4.
In No. 1 doubles action, it was Micah Brinker and Gavyn Walker picking u the win for the Wildcats over the Brave’s duo of Elijah Taylor and Darell Lyles, 6-3, 6-3. Ulysses Mercado and Miles Mogush picked up the final win of the day for the Braves over CM’s Ujjval Adroja and Ryan Hall, 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2 doubles.
The Wildcats return to action next Tuesday, April 14, when they will host Mifflinburg.
