Mifflinburg Earns 4-1 Win over CM

tennisMIFFLINBURG – Central Mountain was on the road facing the other Wildcats in boys’ tennis on Monday for a key PHAC matchup. This round, Mifflinburg had the upper hand and handed CM a 4-1 loss. The loss takes Central Mountain to 1-2 overall and 0-2 in the PHAC.

In No. 1 singles action, Central Mountain’s Matt Schubach edged Mifflinburg’s Noah Beck 7-6 in the first game but Beck bounced back and took Schubach, 6-1, 6-3 for the win. Mifflinburg’s Brahm Buoy defeated CM’s  Raahi Cahpla, 6-1, 6-2 in No. 2 singles. Tom Lichtel of Mifflinburg edged Central Mountain’s Morgan Talbot, 6-3 7-6 at No. 3 singles.

At No. 1 doubles, Central Mountain’s Micah Brinker and Gavyn Walker picked up a 2-6, 6-2, 7-6 win over Mifflinburg’s Ben Haines and McClenason Wagner. Mifflinburg’s Jason Schanck and Braden Hurst picked up a win over CM’s Kaden Powers and Ujjval Adroja, 7-6, 6-7, 7-6. 

Next, Central Mountain will host another key PHAC match when the Bulldogs will visit on Wednesday, March 28, 2018.
