Wildcat Tennis drops Mifflin County 4-1

tennisBALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – The Central Mountain boys’ tennis team bounced back today for a 4-1 win over Mifflin County to move to 1-1 overall and 0-1 in the PHAC.

In No. 1 singles, Central Mountain’s Matt Schubach was edged by Mifflin County’s John Hurlbert, 7-6, 6-4. Raahi Chapla picked up the ‘Cats first win of the day when he downed the Husky’s Matt Hugendubler, 6-3, 6-4 in No. 2 singles. At No. 3 singles, CM’s Morgan Talbot defeated MC’s Kenny McNitt, 0-6, 7-6, 6-3.

Central Mountain swept the doubles action with Micah Brinker and Gavyn Walker took down Ian Herbertson and Conner Ughetto at No. 1 doubles, then at No. 2 doubles, Kaden Powers and Ujjval Adroja handed Mifflin County’s Gavin Ream Brayden Yoder a 7-5, 4-6, 6-2, loss.

The Wildcats are back in action on Wednesday, March 28 when they will host down river rival, Jersey Shore.
