Wise off to Great Start of His Senior Season at Radford

CONWAY, SC – Central Mountain grad, Luke Wise has been furthering his baseball career at the collegiate level with the Radford Highlanders. Over the past weekend, Radford was on the road where they faced Maryland, Ball State and Coastal Carolina.

Wise had a key 2 RBI double against Maryland and a 3 run homer against Coastal Carolina in the top of the second inning. Wise suffered an injury after crashing into the center field fence resulting in his leaving the game.

Wise, a red shirt senior, has built a .242 batting average in the early going of the 2018 season featuring 2 triples, a home run for 6 RBI and has a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage.

For his career with Radford, Wise has a .228 hitting percentage that includes 12 doubles, 5 triples and 10 dingers for 43 RBI and a .989 fielding percentage.

The Highlanders are 3-8 on the season and will face William and Mary on the road today and tomorrow (March 6-7) in Williamsburg, Va.
