Employee at Lamar McDonald’s suspect in $2,698 theft

LAMAR — State police say a former employee at the Lamar McDonald’s is the suspect in an October theft.

Police said the suspect is a 36-year-old female who was an employee at the fast-food business at the Route 64/Interstate 80 exit. They allege she stole $2,698.16 from the safe where deposits are placed from each shift.

Investigating trooper Benjamin Campana said the theft occurred the afternoon of Oct. 22. The suspect was not identified.
