Body Found Near Lock Haven Hospital; Autopsy Conducted

LOCK HAVEN — City police are investigating the death of a Lock Haven man whose body was found on a roadway near Lock Haven Hospital Sunday night.

Police today identified the victim as Brent Stabley, age 24. Clinton County Coroner Zach Hanna said an autopsy was being conducted today at J.C. Blair Hospital in Huntingdon. He said he could offer little further comment until the autopsy is completed. He did say there were no external wounds found on the man.

Officers from the Clinton County Correctional Facility traveling to Lock Haven Hospital came upon his body near the Cree Drive – Irwin Street intersection at 11:06 Sunday night. They said authorities attempted CPR but an EMS ambulance respondent pronounced the man deceased.
