Lock Haven Police Probe Early Sunday Downtown Assault
LOCK HAVEN — City police are investigating an early Sunday morning assault which left the victim with facial swelling. Police said they were told the incident involved a “large group of people.”
Today’s police report said the assault occurred at 1:30 a.m. Sunday in the area of N.Vesper St. and Willard’s Alley. The female victim, whom police did not identify, said the group was blocking the road and “when she asked them to move she was assaulted.” Police said she suffered from facial swelling from being struck.
A witness told police the victim got out of her vehicle and shoved another female; at that point, the witness told police, “other suspects” got involved and assaulted the victim.
The victim subsequently posted information on the incident on social media, including photos of her bruised face. Police indicated their investigation is continuing.
