cm-footballFARWELL – Bucktail started the first drive of the season with positive yardage until stalling at the Troy twenty yard line. Mike Casper went out early in the first half with a injury. Sophomore Richard Perry step up and did a good job behind center. Troy did score in the first quarter to lead 7-0.

The Bucks than struggle moving the ball on the ground as Troy was rotating two big guys in the middle that was just disrupting our line as our guards could not pull to get to their position. Troy scored two more times before half time to lead 20-0.

Troy came out the second half and moved the ball with ease as they scored twice in a row before the Bucks could settle in on defense and stop them. With Troy leading 34-0. Casper return in the second half and did well as he scored on a five yard run from the wing with 5:35 in the fourth quarter. Then kick the extra point to make 34-7. Troy would score one more time as the final score was 40-7.

Coach Ransom was happy on the way the first time players on defense played as he mention Blake Cannon and Alex Intallura step up for the first game. Our runners ran hard as Casper, Cannon, Tanner Riggle and Kenney Winkleman had good games as well.

Ransom mention that we will go back to practice on Monday and continue to work hard on the line to get better as the Bucks will travel to Towanda next Friday night.
