Wildcats Edge Bulldogs 3-2 in Boys’ Tennis

cm-tennisBALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – Central Mountain moved to 9-6 on the season by edging down river rival, Jersey Shore 3-2 in Heartland Conference boys’ tennis action on Wednesday.

The Bulldogs No. 1 singles player came from behind to defeat his Wildcat counterpart, Kline Williams, 4-6, 6-3, 6-0.

CM’s No. 2 player, Mitch Wheary defeated Shore’s Jogn Duda in straight sets, 6-3, 7-5 while Micha Brinker dominated the Bulldog’s Dominic Manival 6-1, 6-2 in the battle of No. 3s.

In doubles action the Wildcats Split with Jersey Shore with Jake Butzler and Connor Anderson defeating CM’s Jack Miller and Jordy Confer 6-2, 6-3.

Casey Eisenhower and Raahi Chapla pulled out the last win for Wildcats by besting the Bulldog duo of Luke Bischoff Alex Trunzo 6-4, 7-5.

Central Mountain will now prepare for the District 6 singles tournament to be held Friday, April 29 and Saturday April 30.
