PSP Make Another Lock Haven Drug Arrest

psp-logoLOCK HAVEN — For the second time in recent weeks two state policemen have made a drug arrest on E. Church St. in Lock Haven.

Troopers Tyson Havens and Edward Dammer were on patrol late this morning on Church St., in full uniform and in a marked police cruiser. According to Havens’ report, they were patrolling on Church St. in the vicinity of the Keller and Mnro Pharmacy and saw what they suspected might be illegal drug activity.

They said they observed Vince Sojka II of King Arthur Drive, Camelot Estates, pacing back and forth while texting and talking on a cell phone. They said 10 minutes later a vehicle operated by another man entered the store parking lot and met with Sojka. Their report said the other man gave Sojka $140 and both approached the store entrance. At the same time, the two officers approached the two men. Trooper Havens wrote that “Sojka did not want to talk and entered the pharmacy with the cash visible in his right hand. The w/m agreed to speak and admitted that he had just given Sojka $140 in exchange for Adderall,” that Sojka was going into the pharmacy to get a prescription for the Adderall.

Police said when Sojka came back out he was taken into custody; a search yielded 58 Adderall  tablets, a schedule II controlled substance, plus a bag of marijuana, a cell phone and cash. The police report said Sojka admitted he intended to supply the other man with 20 Adderall tablets for $120 (he denied receiving $140) and admitted he arranged the transaction through use of a cell phone.

Sojka was arraigned at Clinton County Central Booking on charges of attempted delivery of amphetamines, possession with intent to deliver amphetamines, possession of a controlled substance and criminal use of a communication facility. He was committed to the Clinton County Correctional Facility.

Troopers Havens and Dammer last month had arrested Marvin Griddle of E. Church St. on charges related to the delivery of heroin. He had been arrested at his Church St. residence just down the street from Lock Haven’s City Hall.
