Lady ‘Cats fall to Shamokin 46-36
COAL TOWNSHIP – Central Mountain held their own offensively at the beginning and the end of their contest on the road with the Lady Indians of Shamokin, it was the middle of the game where Shamokin edged the guests.
After one quarter, the Lady Cats only trailed 12-10, then fell behind three more points 22-17 at the half.
Then Shamokin extended their lead to 34-24 after three quarters then Central Mountain matched the hosts 12-12 in the final quarter to reach the final score, 46-36.
Leading the way for the Lady Wildcats was Lydia McCaleb, 15; Grayson McCloy, 5; Averie Pringle, 5 and Elaina Eckley, 5. Rounding out the scoring, Emily Strouse added 3 points and Julia Novosat scored 2.
