Jackson, Strong Second Half Sparks Bald Eagles
CHEYNEY – The Lock Haven University men’s basketball used a strong second-half performance and 18 points from Brahieme Jackson (Philadelphia/Bishop McDevitt) to drop host Cheyney University 75-69 in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East thriller on Saturday afternoon.
Lock Haven (10-5, 6-5 PSAC East) trailed 32-29 at halftime, but the Bald Eagles shot 50 percent in the second half, which helped them comeback and drop Cheyney (2-11, 1-9 PSAC East).
Jackson hit 6 of 6 shots from the floor and was 6 of 8 from the free-throw stripe. He was one of four players to net double-figures.
Bootsie Walker (Chester, Pa./Chester) hit a pair of 3’s and netted 15 points.
Lamin Fulton (Philadelphia/Neumann Goretti) netted 14 points and Ra’eese Hunt (Upper Marlboro, Md./Riverdale Baptist) continued his strong play with 11.
Jackson also led LHU on the glass with six rebounds.
Fulton was a 12 of 12 on free-throw attempts and he dished out three assists.
LHU hosts Shippensburg University on Wednesday, January 13 at 7:30 p.m.
