2-0 CM Wrestlers Prep for Busy Stretch

cm-wrestlingBALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP—The Central Mountain wrestling team had a solid December and is looking for something comparable in January as the squad has a month to tune up for the District 6 Team Duals in early February.

The 2-0 Wildcats are coming off a second place finish in the 24-team Conestoga Valley holiday tournament and now enter a stretch of four dual meets over an eight day period; the stretch begins at Midd-West High School (located in Middleburg) Thursday at 7 p.m.

Midd-West has been struggling on the mats and forfeiting at least three weight classes in dual meets this season but does have a nucleus of some solid wrestlers. Thursday begins a stretch against four Heartland Conference foes, all of which the Wildcats defeated in winning the conference title a year ago, CM’s first in the Heartland.

After the trip to Midd-West Thursday the Wildcats have a three match home stand, starting Saturday with a 1:30 p.m. dual with Shamokin. Tuesday, Jan. 12 Shikellamy comes to the Wildcat gym and Thursday, Jan. 14 Williamsport visits Central Mountain.

All Central Mountain dual meets will be heard on therecord-online and WBPZ (AM 1230). Additionally the home matches will feature both audio/video coverage on therecord-online.
