LHU Falls to Fighting Scots, 87-78

lhu-hoopsLOCK HAVEN – The Lock Haven University men’s basketball team (9-4, 5-4 PSAC) fell in a home matchup with Edinboro University (8-4, 7-2 PSAC) 87-78 today.

The Bald Eagles couldn’t overcome the hot shooting duo of Henri Wade-Chatman and Jaymon Mason, who scored 32 and 25 points respectively for Edinboro,

Al Blount (Allentown, Pa./Bethlehem Catholic) and Bootsie Walker (Chester, Pa./Chester) led LHU with 14 points each.

Cole Renninger (Lock Haven, Pa./Central Mountain) scored 11 points and dished out a team-high four assists.

Lamin Fulton (Philadelphia/Neumann Goretti) added 10 points off the bench.

LHU trailed by 10, 48-38 at the halftime break.  Despite cutting the deficit to five multiple times in the second half, the Bald Eagles were never able to even the score.

The loss moves Lock Haven into a tie for fifth place in the PSAC East with Shippensburg.  Edinboro currently sits atop the PSAC West.

Lock Haven returns to action this week with two PSAC road games.  LHU travels to Mercyhurst on Wednesday (January 6) and Cheyney on Saturday (January 9).
