Getting the Word Out
To the Editor:
The letter is publicly addressed to Dave Harger, head of Harger Utility Contractors.
Dear Mr. Harger,
I’m not against progress and getting Renovo waterlines up to the 21st Century, but what you did by circulating announcement on social media last Tuesday about Boil Advisory was so wrong.
I was in the Farmer’s Market on Thursday and had just heard about it I called my neighbors in my apartment building and asked if they had heard and also to let them know. Your disrespect for the older people and other people that don’t have internet or family members who have internet and are not on social media was a big mistake on your part.
You are the Head of the contractors doing the job so you say. Well I would think since it’s your job to announce to every citizen living in this town of water boil advisory or whatever would happen while the job is being worked on its your job to go around at least and inform everyone in this town that there was a problem with the water. You contractors, news media and other people that think everyone is on social media and have internet has to stop and think of the ones who don’t have or cannot afford internet.
You need to go around town with a loud speaker and announce that we needed to boil our water. You are not doing your job, Dave Harger to inform the citizens of this town. I would hope that you will do your job right and inform us right away next time there is a problem and not on social media (what a joke).
Concerned Renovo Citizen,
Theresa O’Donnell
