KCSD Summer Park Program Presented to School Board

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – Keystone Central CTC Director Kurt Lynch presented an overview of the 2025 Summer Park Program to the school board Thursday evening.
Below is data that Lynch provided to the board.
The park program was open to children aged 5-12 within the district.
Participants can attend any park they choose
Two Park Instructors were assigned to each park
Snacks and water are available to all participants
Weekly crafts, activities, free play, special visitors, and learning opportunities occur throughout the summer
The park locations included parks in Mill Hall, Woolrich, Piper-Harmon, Jack Bailey, Renovo, North Bend, and Castanea.
Park attendance is broken down below:
Mill Hall 46

Piper-Harmon 2 (park closed after Week Two due to lack of attendance)

Special visitors during the year included Hayze Smith of 4H, North Bend 4H and volunteers, local fire companies, and the Clinton County Fair Queen.
Eighteen donations were received from area businesses and community members amounting to $2,800. The Clinton County Community Foundation awarded a grant totaling $2,500 for a grand total of $5,300 of donations received for the program in 2025.
Expenses for the park program exceeded $38,500 with a remaining surplus of $21,493.15. The program had a total budget of $65,300.
