Mark Your Calendar: Central Mountain H.S. Announces Exciting 2025–26 Performing Arts Schedule

MILL HALL—Local residents will have plenty of opportunities to witness the impressive talents of Central Mountain High School (CMHS) students in the upcoming 2025–2026 school year. Dr. James Eldreth, CMHS music educator, has announced a dynamic schedule of performances, promising a lively season in the school’s auditorium. The lineup includes choir and band concerts, orchestra and jazz performances, high-energy rock band shows, and captivating productions staged by the CMHS Drama Club. All events will take place at the CMHS auditorium.
Drama Kicks Off With a Timeless Classic
The CMHS Drama Club invites the community to journey into the enchanting world of Narnia this fall. They will present “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 14, and Saturday, November 15, with a matinee at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 16.
Musical Showcases for All Ages
On Tuesday, November 18, at 7:00 p.m., the high school’s talented choir singers—joined by the Central Mountain Middle School Choir—will fill the auditorium with harmonies at the fall Chorus Concert.
The musical momentum continues in December, with the always-popular Rock Concert on Monday, December 8, at 7:00 p.m., followed by the Band, Orchestra, and Jazz Concert on Wednesday, December 10, also at 7:00 p.m.
A Spring to Remember: ‘Hadestown’
Spring brings one of the most anticipated events of the year: the CMHS Drama Club’s production of the award-winning musical, “Hadestown.” Performances are scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 9, Friday, April 10, and Saturday, April 11, and at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 12, 2026.
May: A Month of Musical Talent
May is packed with musical events, kicking off with a Rock Concert on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. The following weeks feature a lineup of concerts that will begin at 7:00 p.m. each evening:
- Tuesday, May 5: Chorus and World Drumming Concert
- Wednesday, May 6: Orchestra Concert—showcasing students in grades 4 through 12
- Tuesday, May 12: Band Concert—grades 7 through 12
- Wednesday, May 13: Band and Jazz Concert—grades 5–6
All band, orchestra, choir, and rock concerts are free and open to the public; only Drama Club productions will require a ticket purchase, with details to be announced at a later date.
