FARWELL – As the town prepares for the 76th Annual Flaming Foliage Festival the annual Follies at Bucktail High School helped to set the mood as plenty of laughs and some surprising talent were on full display Saturday evening.
Skits from many high school groups including Miss Bucktail and the Flaming Foliage Court, Homecoming, junior and varsity cheerleaders, Bucktail band, returning favorites such as Brett Mason and Mathew Miles and even accordion player Wayne Young all kept the audience full of smiles, laughs and applause.
The show kicked off with the introduction of all of the contestants of the future Queens and Escorts. The young kids always keep the audience guessing on what they will do while they are introduced as everything from yelling excitedly into the microphone to running off of the stage can be expected.
The winners of the Future Queen and Escort were Robert Green Jr, son of Robert Green and Caitlyn Norberg of North Bend and Olivia Goodling, daughter of Charles and Victoria Goodling of Renovo.
