Renovo Community Trade Association Launches Façade Grant to Boost Local Businesses and Beautify Western Clinton County

By Kevin Rauch

RENOVO – The revamped Renovo Community Trade Association has made an effort to be more visible in western Clinton County over the past year or so and now the group of volunteers that encourage and assist in investing in western Clinton County has announced a new project aimed to incentivize business owners to put a new face on their operations.

The facade improvement matching grant was created to help business owners and the local economy by offering $1000 reimbursement for upgrades to their properties.

Vice president of RCTA Angela Harding was credited with the idea for the façade grant as she sees it as a win for everyone in western Clinton County.

“It is imperative that the RCTA invest in the community,” Harding explained. “Not just existing business and organizations but growth. Through our membership, we are working as an organization to reinvest those funds back into supporting the community’s economy and improving the aesthetics of the region. I encourage anyone interested in helping this effort to become a member of the RCTA. “

Anyone interested in improving their business and receiving the grant can do so by reaching out via email at renovocta@gmail.com.

The RCTA has been around since 1946 and in recent years has become more evident in the community behind programs such as the small business entrepreneur Expo at Bucktail Area High School where students were shown various opportunities to them available after high school right here in their hometown.

The RCTA is also responsible for the Welcome to Renovo lighted signs at both entrances to town via RT 120.

Officers of the RCTA explain that: “There are no paid employees in the group, just a group of dedicated volunteers who are working hard to make a difference in our region. Without our members none of this would be possible”
