‘Pop’ in for kernels of fun: an a-maze-ing time awaits at the Pine Creek Seed Farm Corn Maze

By Christopher Miller

PINE CREEK TOWNSHIP – The corn was all ears Saturday evening as business, community, and organizational leaders were invited to a special kick off event of the 2025 Pine Creek Seed Farm Corn Maze hosted by the McCracken’s, employees of the Seed Farm, and countless volunteers.

Whispers of “oh, not this way” and shouts of “Marco…Polo” could be heard throughout the cornfields as dozens of people took to the 19-acre corn maze, offering a fun and challenging adventure for visitors of all ages.

The layout theme for 2025 encompasses all that the Pennsylvania Wilds has to offer: ATVs, kayaking, hiking, biking, elk, Kinzua Bridge, fishing, and camping, as it celebrates the beauty and adventure of the state’s great outdoors.

Each weekend, a unique theme awaits leaving no visits to the corn maze the same. The themes for 2025 include a 5K/10K race, Spook Haven Haunted Maze, a drone light show, hay bale and pumpkin contests, and Dustin Dean Mentalist and Spook Haven Haunted Maze (returning) for the last weekend.

The corn maze is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, giving back 100% of the proceeds collected directly to local initiatives that strengthen and uplift the local community such as educational programs, agricultural scholarships, community development programs, and supporting other local nonprofits.

The maze is open on Saturdays from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. beginning September 27 through October 26. It is stroller and wheelchair accessible.

The Spook Haven Haunted Maze dates for 2025 are Saturday, October 5 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Sunday, October 26 from 6 to 8 p.m.
